Home of The Manchester Jays Women's Football Club

Hello & welcome to the start of your new hobby!

If  you are reading this page then you must have some level of interest in football.

The club was first set up by Jo and Jen in 2007, specifically to promote football for women in Manchester. They had developed a taste for the beautiful game by playing 5 aside with a group of boys they knew, after a while they tried to find a similar thing for women but struggled to find something that was easy to get to for just a bit of fun.

So after a couple of pints in a pub they decided if you can't find it, do it yourself! They set up a friendly kick about once a week, the location is central and easily accessible, information about the sessions are updated weekly and are on the 'Football Bits' page.

As part of our drive to develop women's football, one of our very own players, Lorna, has taken on the role as Coach. She is an FA qualified coach and also works for Manchester United! She runs the warm up/down sessions and drills and makes sure we're actually developing skills!

If you fancy giving it go whether you have played before or just come along and join us at a Sunday session.
